Brand Manager, KRK, Mesa/Boogie & Maestro

This Gibson Brands Brand Manager reports directly to the Director of Brands and will be responsible for the KRK, Mesa/Boogie, and Maestro brands and product planning. This Brand Manager will stay close to product and production team for well-coordinated global New Product Introduction, overseeing products through cataloging, packaging and product marketing ownership, developing go-to-market briefs for Marketing Operations to execute on and driving the brand vision and mission thru all dealer and consumer touchpoints of KRK, Mesa/Boogie and Maestro. Key to this role will be a vast knowledge of the pro-audio space to drive the KRK brand forward, as well supporting Gibson’s avenues of amplification and tone. The candidate will work in a cross-functional matrix together with Product Development, Production, Marketing, Commercial, Demand Planning, and Operations to drive projects and launches.  

Essential Functions

  • Build brand plan and leverage cross functional resources (ER, Marketing, Commercial, Product) to drive brand initiatives
  • Develop and drive processes that better connect the Product team to the Marketing team
  • Master brand project management dynamics to drive organization, calendarization and operational efficiency
  • Own product cataloging and aid in maintaining a Dealer Toolbox for their success
  • Support in demand planning at a factory level to achieve timely new product introductions and cataloging for marketing initiatives
  • Represent the brand to media, creative agencies, and 3rd party distributors
  • Support product development in packaging and unboxing experiences focusing on product marketing
  • Carry out market research to keep up to date with consumer and industry trends. Explore opportunities to grow KRK in the live equipment market, consumer electronics and worship markets and identify new markets for pedals and amplifiers.
  • Influence and make contributions to the integrated marketing action plans across categories
  • Assist in the development of brand and product marketing decks, roadmap and all associated delivery milestones to ensure consistent delivery of marketing plans and assets to key partners
  • Organize events related to product launches, partnership activations, trade-shows, dealer activations and sales events
  • Serve as an external ambassador on behalf of Gibson Brands and represent corporate values with the highest of integrity
  • Time will be spent 50% with KRK, 30% Mesa/Boogie and 20% Maestro
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned
Required Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of New Product Introduction
  • Knowledge of amps, studio equipment, guitars and pedals of great value
  • Commercially minded, results oriented and metrics driven
  • Experience in handling issues around production, resource management, technology, and workflow processes
  • Communicating and building strong connections with multiple departments and leadership
  • Knowledge of implementation and utilization of technologies that support assets creation from creative team (workflow/project management, digital asset management/DAM)
  • Excellent multitasking, project management and leadership skills
  • Critical thinker and problem-solver
  • Strong project management abilities to effectively oversee and meet strategic goals and execute multiple initiatives at once
  • Maximizes brand exposure and profitability
Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Marketing, Project Management, Business Operations or equivalent degree or related work experience
  • 5+ years in brand management and planning-based roles
