Role Summary/Purpose:

Synchrony is continuing to build a world class Marketing Organization committed to driving results with our retail and payments partners while also delivering leading customer experiences.   Within our Marketing Organization, our Cardholder Documents team oversees the creation, updating and maintenance of various content and communications.  We are a seeking an AVP, Digital Asset Manager to own the strategic roadmap and development of the Digital Asset Management (DAM) tool.  

This role will provide leadership in architecture, design and planning to support DAM platform provisioning, build deployments, integrations, software configurations and release engineering processes.

This position is remote, where you have the option to work from home. On occasion we may request for you to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, training and culture events. We’re proud to offer you choice and flexibility.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for management and governance of enterprise-wide digital assets within the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
  • Lead a team in the daily maintenance and delivery of DAM assets.
  • Manage the creation, maintenance, and execution of metadata, taxonomy structure, indexing, user permissions, search/filtering, optimization and configuration.
  • Communicate closely with product managers, functional users and to ensure consistency across products and projects in the DAM.
  • Continuous improvement with the DAM infrastructure and stay informed of DAM technology in the marketplace
  • Act as a DAM ambassador, including onboarding of new users.
  • Monitor content quality and troubleshoot workflows.
  • Develop standard reports and summarize trends for asset usage, adoption and delivery.
  • Continuously ensure the DAM delivers value to the Synchrony enterprise.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Services, Information Technology, Master’s degree preferred or in leu of degree, high school diploma/GED and 5+ years of marketing experience
  • 4+ Years experience managing DAM systems (i.e.  Bynder, Widen, Workfront, Aprimo, etc.) including infrastructure, integration, functional capabilities.
  • 2+ years experience successfully leading teams
  • 3+ years of Project Management, preferable Agile / IT Project Management
  • 2+ years of IT and software implementation management
Desired Characteristics:

  • Prior work experience supporting Marketing functions in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience integrating a DAM solution to with MarTech platforms
  • Ability to simultaneously work on multiple high-profile project deliverables
  • Experience working in and navigating a highly regulated business
  • Working knowledge of Agile methodologies
  • Strong problem solving, analysis and reporting skills
