Vancouver, BC, Canada

PURPOSE OF POSITION

As the Administrator, Digital Asset Management, you support Destination BC’s Global Marketing division in achieving a broad range of marketing outcomes through providing administrative support for our enterprise-level Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, as well as general administrative support across two departments.

Destination BC has a strong focus on brand and content marketing to drive global awareness and intent to visit British Columbia, and our DAM system is one of the foundational technology platforms that powers that approach. As the administrative lead for our DAM system, you work closely with our Brand & Creative team and our DAM Business Analyst to manage the intake and review, tagging, uploading, and ongoing maintenance of a large and diverse collection of photography, video, and other materials stored within the system – as well as managing the intake and registration of new users and support of current users. The system acts as a centralized platform for not just Destination BC, but also for a number of other tourism industry organizations across the province, so this work requires communication and collaboration with a variety of stakeholders (from photographers and videographers to other destination marketing organizations to our brand & creative agency). As your familiarity with the Super, Natural British Columbia brand and our collection of visual assets grows, you’ll take on an essential supporting role for user groups across the organization in selecting assets for a variety of creative projects and requests, as well as reviewing partner-submitted assets against brand alignment and other criteria.

The remainder of the portfolio for this role is focused on providing general administrative support for two departments within our marketing team. Working alongside a Financial Administrative Assistant, you provide administrative and procurement support for these departments, and play a key role in enabling those teams to deliver on objectives through effective operations, including proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes and procedures.

Reporting to the Director, Global Brand & Content, and working directly with a variety of business leads and others across the marketing team, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and can prioritize and problem-solve independently in a fast-paced environment. You have demonstrated experience and familiarity with the use of technology/database platforms and with administrative functions. This position requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
