Extensis Launches DAM Learning Centre
DAM Vendor, Extensis have launched a DAM Learning Centre that aims to educate users of DAM solutions about Digital Asset Management concepts. The site contains various articles and “how to” information about getting ready to implement DAM:

Extensis have been gracious enough to cover some alternative options to their own platform. Obviously this all comes with a slight spin towards their own stuff, but it does at least signal some awareness in the industry that offering quality education resources is more likely to increase overall user acceptance of DAM (and therefore product/service sales) than the unimaginative hard-sell tactics employed in the past – especially at the enterprise end of the market.
Given the challenges to the DAM industry from the multitude of alternative solutions (from above and below) these kinds of resources are a positive development in my view.
