Adobe Create: Digital Photography All Technology And No Talent?

Adobe UK are running an online event this week aimed at creatives.  The final session today (13th July) kicks off at noon and asks the question: “Is digital photography all tech and no talent?“.  The sessions covered are:

  • Is digital photography all tech and no talent? (12.10 – 13.00)
  • New Features of Photoshop CS6 (13.00)
  • Producing Victorian-era Cyanotype prints (14.10)
  • 3D with Photoshop CS6 Extended (14.15)
  • Compositing and Retouching Techniques using Photoshop CS6 (14.30)
  • Insight into John G Moore’s photographic style (14.45)
  • Photoshop Lightroom 4’s book module (15.00)
  • Creating client previews in Lightroom 4 (15.15)

Although each session duration looks pretty tight, they might be the sort of presentations that could be squeezed into a quiet Friday afternoon and they are also downloadable if your schedule doesn’t fit.  The final ones on Lightroom (which is still popular among Digital Asset Managers as ‘pre-DAM’ tool for metadata entry) looks worth checking it out.  The events coincide with Adobe’s release of CS6 and will no doubt be used to promote Creative Cloud as well, but the opportunity to get some free training looks like it might make it worth putting up with the associated marketing spiel.
