New as Good: Using Synthetic Media To Create Positive Social Impact

With new forms of technology allowing us to generate media in increasingly sophisticated ways, we step back and assess how we can use them to make a positive impact, and improve the world by doing so.

In this Synthetic Futures conversation, we will hear from experts about how AI-driven synthetic media is being used for social good, discuss the ethics of artificial resurrection, and the future of pro-social initiatives now, and in the future of the Metaverse.

Featuring:

Henry Ajder- Head of Policy & Partnerships, Metaphysic

Shiran Mlamdovsky Somech- VP, Impact, D-ID

Nathan Philips- Co-founder, Technology, Humans and Taste (THAT)

ABOUT SYNTHETIC FUTURES:

Synthetic Futures is a global community dedicated to shaping a positive future for synthetic media in its many different forms.

We celebrate synthetic media’s immense creative potential when used ethically and responsibly, while also working together to address the technology’s malicious and harmful uses.

Whether you're a creator, company, NGO, or just a tech enthusiast, we welcome anyone to the Synthetic Futures community who shares our vision and values.

We believe the future will be synthesised. Now it’s up to us to decide how.
