Featured Job – Media Asset Coordinator, BBC – 29th July 2022


This week’s featured position is for a Media Asset Coordinator with The British Broadcasting Corporation.  Working out of the BBC Studios department in London, the successful candidate will be part of a team that’s responsible for identifying, collecting, consolidating and serving media assets retrieved from various storage locations.  Working alongside the Data Specialist, you will be responsible for compiling accurate rights management information for use by multiple stakeholders.  Experience of handling a large volume of assets and using a MAM or DAM system is essential, including technical knowledge of media formats and platforms.  A knowledge of BBC programming is also required, along with preferable experience of localisation and data analysis.  The position is on a contract basis, lasting a duration of 8 months.

The MAC will assist the Data Specialist with compiling and analysis of all language asset inventories with a view to maintaining a master inventory list (subtitle files, audio tracks). They will be operating in a fast moving environment and will be required to consistently deliver on project goals. They will act as an advisor to the Project Steering Group for all localised assets and inventories. They will be able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with suppliers and internal BBC Studios stakeholders.
