Writing on the 3bko.com blog, Richard Hancock describes how to take a “business first, technology second” approach to the issue of applying Semantic Web strategies to organisations.  He describes how he held a meeting with developers, managers, information architects and analysts to introduce the concepts and the five key areas that were considered:

  • Enterprise Modelling
  • Open Government
  • RDFa Based Integration
  • Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
  • Enterprise Web of Data

Just scheduling the meeting was in itself a successful outcome since it started discussion around the role Semantic Web technologies could play in our organization.
