SaaS: No Longer An “Experiment”


Jeff Kaplan, writing on the Think IT Services blog contests various recent assertions that SaaS (Software as a Service) is a failed model and not reliable for production use.  He counter argues with those who claim that the SaaS “experiment” is over by highlighting the number of mainstream services that are now delivered in this fashion:

The fact is that the SaaS ‘experiment’ is definitely over. It is now a mainstream movement. Just take a look at the growth of Salesforce.com and SuccessFactors.
