Alchemy’s Phraseanet DAM Goes Open Source

French DAM vendor, Alchemy have re-released their Phraseanet DAM solution as a free and open source product with a GPL3 licence.  Formerly licensed at 7,500 Euros, the application can now be freely downloadable from http://www.phraseanet.com or SourceForge.  The application is PHP based and includes support for most types of media:
