EXIF Data Added To Google Image Search


In a recent move to enhance their image search, Google will now index the embedded Exchangeable Image File Format (EXIF) data from image files featured in their image search.  The EXIF format, that records detailed information regarding the technical specification of each image (such as aperture, focal length, exposure length and flash settings) provides a quick method of collating far more detail about images, thereby increasing the relevance and effectiveness of search results for users.
