Next month on March 10th, there is a London DAM Meetup Group social which will be held at 6.30pm in The Dover Castle, 43 Weymouth Mews in W1:
“Join us for our first MeetUp of 2016 to discuss the nuances of Digital Asset Management, compare business war stories and pick up handy hints and tricks from each other about DAM. Attended by veterans and newcomers to the industry the London DAM group hopes to provide insight and support to DAM managers and help educate and inform members. First meeting is a social affair held centrally at the lovely Dover Castle pub. Come and share a pint and a tale or two! Vendors welcome but no sales pitches allowed!!” [Read More]
As we have mentioned on DAM News a few times in the past, these meetings are well worth going to and I have learnt something useful from every event I have attended so far. It’s one entirely cost-free opportunity to talk to other people who are involved in DAM and with access to age-restricted beverages (or unrestricted ones, if you prefer) all under the same roof – what’s not to like?
My understanding is that this is likely to be one of the last held in The Dover Castle as they plan to turn it into a ‘Gastro Pub’ later this year. The number of London establishments also being converted for similar purposes (yuppie flats becoming the fate of many others) all suggests an impending apocalypse and the demise of civilisation itself to me, so this could be a good opportunity to catch up with a few people in DAM while you still can.
If the organisers of other DAM Meetups elsewhere would like their meetings mentioned on DAM News, please contact me and I will post an article about them also. Obviously they are unlikely to measure-up to the high standard set by the London group, but we will try to assist, nonetheless.
